In celebrating Men's Health Month, this June, we had questions among our readers. Of which the most common was asked, "What happened to Movember?".
Taking the internet by storm, in 2022, Men's Health Network stretched their Men's Health Week - passed by Congress in 1994 as an official US holiday - from the second week of June to the month long campaign it is today: Men's Health Month, a national campaign where people wear blue to promote mental health awareness amongst males, binary and non-binary.

Movember, on the other hand, is an international holiday by the Movember Foundation in 2003, by two mates in Australia. The campaign is about fighting prostate and testicular cancer by growing one's moustache for the whole month. Since it's popularity in 2005, it's spread its campaign for mental health awareness towards men.
The success of both campaigns have brought great interest with not just liberals, but impressively from war veterans, and families of cancer survivors. Neither organizations seem to be monopolizing on the title of Men's Health Month, and neither are mistaken for the other. But it is important to recognize that both registered nonprofit organizations are doing an amazing job aiding those in need.
