Welcome to the Los Angeles Anti-Bully Society!
We are a hub for information in mental health awareness and bullying prevention. As a blog, it's our intent to gain attention through pop culture, so to bring relatability with the audience we wish to help.
As an online journal, Los Angeles Anitbully Society (LAABS) is the first chapter of Azure Lorica, a nonprofit 501c3 charity organization in the Arts. For years, Azure Lorica served two audiences: geeks and it's own theatre patrons. Some of their content mingled for both demographics, but as a whole they could not be anymore different.
To remedy this dilemma, the Los Angeles Anti-Bully Society was established on May 15, 2024. Managing the FanFilm Awards, and publishing articles and blogs about the mental health of fictional characters. Here, their geek audience can continue doing the good they subscribed to under Azure Lorica, without bumping into theatre people who came for fringe plays.
Currently, Azure Lorica's mission caters to multi-ethnicity in media. Though it's not exactly applying their mission statement, LAABS is not contradicting the umbrella vision of the organization. If anything, it embellishes the cause for a niche audience through Press.
We're excited for the future, as this chapter will be the first of many to support the underprivileged. From geeks to advocates, our members are in the right place to make leaps and bounds in a community that needs this method of help the most.
By hopping from school to school, library to library, we will use FanFilms to invite the community to understand the importance of having a hub for mental health, and a society that cares.
Please consider us, as your next volunteer activity for the greater good. And subscribe to our newsletter for publications available online. It is our pleasure to be the society people need, and we hope that we can meet you at our next FanFilm screenings!
